Halloween seems like a good time to debut the second edition of our Tea Bats Lenormand deck. You can pop over to the Attic Cartomancy blog to see all of the updated cards. The cards are bigger, a little brighter, I’ve added some extra detailing as well as a small pop of color through tinting. Thankfully most of the cards were already done before my stair diving incident. Right now I’m working out packaging and potential sale times. :)
All good things must come to an end and that includes our first edition decks. Our Tea Bats Lenormand deck’s first edition has had a wonderful run and was very well received. Alas, in our efforts to keep a more uniform card size for our shoppe decks, the Tea Bats smaller cards are going to be a little bigger for the second edition. We also have a few new flourishes for its packaging. We’re looking to do our first second edition sale after the new year. So what does that mean now?
Well just in time for Halloween you have a chance to get the last of the first editions before we retire them. This sale starts today (Sept 20th) and runs till Oct 13th. We have no restrictions on the number of decks available, we just have a limited time to work with. Decks purchased through this sale will be ready to begin shipping Oct 20th and we will do our very best to make sure everyone has theirs in time for Halloween! We are taking international orders for this one, but we ask that you contact us directly with your city/country of origin so we can properly calculate shipping charges for you. Thank you!
Our card of the day was selected from our Tea Bats Lenormand deck. The card we pulled today was the coffin. The everyday person might get a shudder upon pulling this card but Attic folk just smile, sort of subdued like. This is not an inherently bad card as one might think. It’s a card that signifies a great deal about a need of change. There might be an aspect of your life that needs change, or closure… or the completion of a cycle so a new cycle can begin. Change is a part of life and what keeps our lives ever evolving.
As I pull these cards for myself I know for me it’s the completion of a cycle. For a year now I have been in mourning, rebuilding and finding a new groove in a life that was so different from this time last year. Things have hit an end point and I’ve accepted that change in the current of my river, so to speak. The elder goth in me says “Right on… gloomy card…” but the person in me who loves life (as goths actually do no matter what anyone tells you) realizes things have taken a turn and are getting better, more stabilized. I don’t hate on this card. And I love bats. ;) You can see the whole tea bats deck here.
